Style Me Pretty just featured Susie and Kevin's gorgeous wedding from New Year's Eve. You can see the amazing photos from Love Life Images and view our video at the Style Me Pretty link below. The reception was at the Fairmont in DC. Event coordination was by ATrendy Wedding.
It was a fun day for us when we went behind the scenes of Baltimore Bride magazine’s Natural Beauties photo shoot on location at Patapsco Female Institute. We walked away with an appreciation of the tremendous amount of work the magazine staff and creative teams put into the day.
Watch our behind-the-scenes video to get a glimpse of what goes into a shoot at Baltimore Bride!
We were looking back at our recent archives, and we felt remiss in not having shared the video from this really fun wedding at the Grand Historic Venue here in Baltimore. There were so many sweet and funny moments to capture throughout the day.
The event planner that day was Rachel Hoffberger of Plan It Perfect. Watch the video below!
It’s been a busy wedding season, and we’ve been lucky to film so many wonderful weddings for our brides and grooms over the past months.
We thought we would share Angela and Brian’s full-day video from their gorgeous spring wedding. The ceremony was held at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center, and the reception was at the historic Waverly Mansion in Marriottsville, Maryland. Photography for the day was by Rob Korb Photography. The heartfelt happiness of the bride, groom, family, and friends was really apparent on their wedding day, and we think it shines through in this video.
We have to admit we were pretty excited when we heard some brides and grooms are choosing to have “unplugged” weddings. If you haven’t heard about this trend, an unplugged wedding is one in which the guests have politely been requested to put away their cell phones and tablets and be mentally and emotionally present for the ceremony or other events of the wedding day. We could talk more about the benefits of a tech-free wedding, but we think Jill Springer of Jill Christine Design & Photography has already done a wonderful job of just that.
Please click through to Jill’s blog post on the topic below. If you are planning a wedding in Southern Maryland, be sure to look at her beautiful photographs. We had the pleasure of working with her last weekend and can't say enough good things about her fun, relaxed style.

One of the chief perks of our job is the creative, fun people we get to work with in the industry. Plan It Perfect’s Rachel Hoffberger and Cate Buscher are among our favorites, and we are very excited to see them both back working under the Plan It Perfect name.
To help Plan It Perfect publicize that Cate was returning to the company she founded, we partnered with them to put together this video that is very funny, if we do say so ourselves. Plan It Perfect brought the idea; we helped them realize it. Check out the video below:
It was a chilly February, but Marla and Christopher had an awesome time touring the monuments between their wedding at St. Matthew's Cathedral and their reception at the W Hotel.
Each September, Love Life Images hosts a Day in the Life photo contest. People around the country take photos of their day and submit them to LLI for the chance to win several different prizes. The staff and photographers at LLI all take a series of photos of their day and assemble slideshows that screen on their blog the day after. Since we partner with LLI on several projects, we try to shoot our day as well and send it over for inclusion the next day.
Their blog post shows everyone's slideshow, including each of the photographers: they're really fun to watch. Below, however, you can see what Skizz and I both did for our day. Next year, hopefully, Jenny and Alicia won't demur.
It's always exciting and cool to see other people blogging about us or our work. Senior producer David Morley was a recent contributor to MyDeejay.com's guide to hiring a videographer. It was great to see our insight alongside other wedding industry video colleagues. Everyone that Jennifer interviewed are great visual storytellers, and had really poignant comments about selecting a video crew for a live event. Check out the link here! Our Steampunk wedding was also featured in the blog United With Love. UWL is a great blog that features lots of local wedding content from photographers, designers, video crews, florists, and more. Check out their blog entry about us here.
When shooting live events/weddings, we occasionally will have the opportunity to work with a family more than once. Families will often will refer us to their friends, but staying within the family and shooting a sibling's wedding a year or two after is a fantastic compliment to our work. Elise and Clare, however, were two sisters who got married about four months apart in the same year. It was great to see how different the two events were, even though a lot of the elements were the same. Sachs Photography were the photographers, Rachel Shaw from Plan It Perfect planned the events and handled day-of logistics, and, of course, we shot video for them. Here are the online clips from Elise and Bobby's event at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, and Clare and Ryan's wedding at Tabrizi's.
Glen Echo Park is a great spot for an event. The backdrop of art deco popcorn stands and merry go rounds is a photo/video shoot bonanza, so we had a great time working with Flutter Photo producing this piece. Bellwether Events rounded out the day with their usual on-time schedule and beautiful design. Here's the online piece we produced.
We had another opportunity to partner with Love Life Images and produce a video for a couple. The couple had hired Anne from A Trendy Wedding, and for the design, they incorporated steampunk themes. It was a great event. The cake, designed by Fluffy Thoughts, was stupendous. With all the visual candy, it's hard for us not to make a great video. Check out the online piece!
We love participating in the Love Life Images Day in the Life. Photographers and clients alike document their day and send them to Love Life Images once a year in mid-September. Since we shoot video, we typically make a short video of the day. It's a hustle to edit it overnight to meet the mid-day deadline the next day, but always a lot of fun. Here's the one I submitted this year --David
Here's a recent (early June) event we shot with Katie Martin of Elegance and Simplicity. What a beautiful afternoon. Meredith and Owen have some excellent dance moves, and really unique musical tastes, so we incorporated some of live audio--including the waltz Owen wrote for Meredith for their first dance--in this full day video.
Our kickoff to the 2011 wedding season is well underway. This is a full day from a recent wedding we shot at the Grand Lodge in Cockeysville, MD. We had the opportunity to spend the day with a lot of great colleagues and vendors, including Joe and Anne Sachs of Sachs Photography, Rachel Shaw from Plan It Perfect, Linwoods Catering, and JJ Cummings Floral.
Greek weddings are awesome.
